The Complex:
Snowy Creek Lodge was built in 2000 and consists of 14 luxury units with extensive use of natural stone, logs and rough hewn timbers. Garbage bin on site. There are spaces for guest parking on site, but there is NO OVERNIGHT parking for cars not inside a garage and fines may be levied. Overnight parking for more than 2 cars must park at Big White’s Happy Valley. The unit is located across the street from The Bullet Chair loading station, Stonebridge Lodge and the White Crystal Inn.
The Unit:
This unit was designed for one or two families to relax and enjoy all that Big White has to offer, with a unique presentation. There is a unique nautical theme that runs throughout the chalet, adding an interesting piece of history to your visit.
Garage:
Double car, heated, tandem parking, garage door opener, keypad entry, ski locker and bench inside for safe, secure storage of ski equipment. (Equipment is not allowed in the unit.)
Entry:
Private front door to the unit with landing and doorbell. Front door has keypad entry and peephole. Inside foyer has a large area for welcoming guests, slate floor, plenty of coat hooks and a seating area. The nautical them, which runs throughout the unit, starts in the foyer.
Master Cabin:
Large, spacious, and overlooking the Bullet chair and ski runs, this bedroom has its own large ensuite bathroom with plenty of closet space and slate flooring. Comfy queen size bed.
Pirate Room:
Arrrrggh!! This room was designed with the kids in mind and has two sets of bunk beds – singles over doubles. There is a rum barrel night stand with some interesting reading about the pirates of old! Of course there are pirate flags and a skeleton….. you’ll have to check it out! The pirate room has its own access to the full bathroom on the main floor, complete with tub/shower, sink and toilet.
Galley:
Fully equipped kitchen, stainless steel appliances – fridge, self cleaning oven with glass top cook top, dishwasher, and microwave. Also in the unit is a blender, a crock pot and a mixmaster. Enough table settings for 12 people, including plates and cutlery. Under cabinet lighting and overhead track lighting make it big and bright. There is an island between the kitchen and the dining room that seats 4, perfect for conversation during meal prep.
Dining Room:
Big and bold solid wood dining room portside, seating for 8. Glass top is perfect for not only mealtimes, but board games as well! Check out the original dining room menu from the Titanic.
Living Room:
Old, elegant, overstuffed furniture that you ‘sink’ into! TV is inset above the hearth of the gas fuelled fireplace. The views from these windows are unparalleled anywhere in the world. On a clear day, you can see for knots and knots and knots….
Private Deck:
An electric start propane BBQ for grilling up your seafood feast and a hot tub for sore muscles après ski.
Upper Deck:
Upper cabin has a lovely queen size bed and a view of the Bullet Chair and ski runs. This room has its own door into the upper lavatory, which is complete with tub/shower, toilet and sink. This room also has TONS of closet space.
Loft:
Spectacular views, you’ll feel like you’re the ‘king of the world’!! Comfy couch and chaise, TV, DVD, VCR and a full size air hockey table. You’ll also find internet access here, as well as a variety of books and games. Perfect place to hook up your Wii or Xbox.
